Marie Amos (Master of Arts, Counselling Psychology, Registered Clinical Counsellor #3102) has counselled in our community for over a decade with families, couples and individuals.

 

Her clinical focus is working with adults and adolescents in a collaborative and client-centred way. This combines her expertise in mental wellness and draws upon client strengths and recognizing them as the experts in their lives. Clients of different ages have described her approach as humorous, gentle, and genuine. Her experience is with varied clientele specializing in anxiety, depression, and couples work. She enjoys connecting with people and helping them to build healthy and sustainable habits in their lives and relationships.

 

Marie is certified in EMDR trauma therapy, and has level one training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. In her previous role as a Mental Health Clinician with Child and Youth Mental Health, she facilitated Connect Parent Program and was a regular contributor to the Chilliwack Progress “Perspectives on Mental Health” column. She is also an approved therapist with BC’s Crime Victim Assistance Program.
